Sitka Fine Arts Camp - 2016
The Sitka Fine Arts Camp is always an incredible experience. Thanks to the amazing students, staff, faculty, and volunteers for making this place so special.

Ready, set, SIGHT READ! Excited to adjudicate the most dreaded part of a festival today.

Cascade High School Clinic
Had a great time working the the bands at Cascade High School today!

MHCC Wind Ensemble

Beaumont Middle School Clinic
I had an amazing time today working with the bands at Beaumont Middle School in Portland. I had flash backs to my time at the Detroit School of Arts before the new building. We had a drafty garage door and defunct industrial fixtures; Beaumont has 220v lines hanging from the ceiling and a fume hood in the corner. It just goes to show that great teaching, a supportive community, and awesome students can overcome any challenge.

Northwest Orchestra Festival @ Mt Hood
The 44th annual Northwest Orchestra and Chamber Music Festival wrapped up tonight with a hall full of excited, talented, and hard-working young musicians. It's tough to be anything other than optimistic about the state of music education after hearing all these wonderful ensembles over the last two days. From Santa Monica to the Seattle area, the west coast has some awesome string programs. Thanks to everyone for making the trip!

Hood River Middle School Clinic
I had such a great time working with the 6th and 8th grade bands today in Hood River. Great teaching in a supportive community. When I was there the superintendent dropped by to listen for a bit. Cool things going on here in the HRMS Music Department!
